Of course. Refusing to listen to the people you hurt is standard operating procedure for conservative stooges. Ignore all the people with actual experience & expertise in favor of the disgruntled parents who were rightfully ostracized by trans kids they abused.

Back in my lawyer days, I used to hire medical experts. We used to call them “hired guns.”

We would at least try and gild the lily by having our expert actually examine the injured plaintiff, to add credibility to their opinions.

Otherwise, the expert is merely an armchair Monday morning quarterback.

The fact that he acknowledges that he’s never treated a trans person? I don’t care how willing he would be to say whatever I would want him to say, I wouldn’t hire him. He’s open to obvious attack.

The pool of potential experts must be really, really, really small if he’s one of the “best.” 🙄

Good interview. Some of what was shared here might be useful for the record the next time Dr. Cantor testifies in a courtroom. The motives and misinformation offered so forthrightly are surely relevant to establishing credibility as an expert witness.
