As a cis hetero woman, I have some questions. To me this is not a gay rights issue, but an overall public health question. If this kind of place was open for hetero hookup culture, wouldn’t we call it a brothel and deem it a public health risk? It seems like the question is still spread of disease rather than who is hooking up with whom. Every STD can be managed these days, but the spread is still not something we should wish on our partners, whether we have one, two, or twenty. It feels like band-aid, consequences be damned thinking.
Is this mostly a solution for closeted men who can’t be out for personal reasons? What am I missing?
