In 1978 Trimble kidnapped and raped two 9 year old girls. He roped them and dragged them to his car. I cannot type out the horrors they endured at the hands of Trimble, but you can search for it.
While incarcerated for those crimes, he gained the trust of his developmentally delayed cellmate by pretending to be a Christian minister. Trimble, beat, burned and heaped abuse on his cellmate. He then prostituted his cellmate to other inmates, and then murdered him.
These are the kinds of men the author would house with women. Why have my fellow citizens on the left come to abandon women? Women deserve spaces safe from men who would prey on them.

I have become deeply disillusioned with a fairly hefty chunk of the left. Some of the misogyny os off the charts. I wasn't expecting it.
