As one of the plaintiffs in Ferguson v. JONAH, the only successful lawsuit that forced a conversion therapy provider to shut down, I find it frustrating that this was not included. It is clearly related to this history and is very much part of the legal landscape surrounding conversion therapy.
Also worth adding is that one of the prominent figures in the conversion therapy world, who is mentioned here, Joseph Nicholosi, was barred from testifying at this trial because the judge compared him to someone who believed the earth was flat.
Brilliant research. Excellent article and so important to have such important history set down accurately. Thank you.
Thanks, Derek!
