Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Complete Track Record on LGBTQ Issues
Today, Georgians will vote in a special election to replace Greene’s seat. Before she officially passes the baton, here’s every anti-LGBTQ move the representative has made.

Since Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene entered office in 2021, she has gained a reputation as one of the most far-right and controversial members of Congress. A self-identified Christian nationalist, Greene has promoted conspiracy theories, including QAnon and Pizzagate. She has also stated that the Parkland school shooting was a “false flag” operation by the government.
While Greene was a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, she publicly split with him in November 2025 for his support for foreign military intervention and for his cover-up of the Epstein files.
In January, Greene resigned from Congress, and the special election to replace her is today, with a runoff expected on April 7.
Throughout her career, Greene has railed against the queer community. With her successor soon coming into power, here’s her complete track record on LGBTQ issues.
Feb. 1, 2021

Greene co-sponsors the Old Glory Only Act, which would ban U.S. embassies from flying the pride flag and would require the Secretary of State to ensure “that no United States diplomatic or consular post flies any flag other than the United States flag.” The act does not pass the House.
Feb. 4, 2021
The House holds a hearing to decide whether Greene should be stripped of her committee assignments after she likes a comment on social media that says a “bullet in the head” would be a more efficient way to remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. During the hearing, Greene goes on a transphobic rant against Twitter:
“You can scroll through and see where someone has retweeted porn. But yet when I say that I absolutely believe with all my heart that God’s creation as he created them male and female and that should not be denied, when I am censored for saying those types of things, that is wrong.”
Feb. 23, 2021
Greene files “America First” amendments, which aim to replace the Equality Act. The bill aims to bar trans girls and women from playing in sports that align with their gender identity, exempt churches and 501(c)(3)s from being bound to anti-discrimination laws and allow people to sue the federal government over religious-rights violations tied to the bill.
Feb. 24, 2021
Following a debate in the House over the Equality Act, Greene goes on a rant during a press conference:
“The Equality Act is a completely evil, disgusting, immoral bill. It’s not about stopping discrimination. … It’s creating discrimination against every single woman and girl in this country.”
Democratic Rep. Marie Newman, whose daughter is trans, responds to the remarks by hanging a trans flag outside her office, which sits opposite to Greene’s.
Feb. 25, 2021
Greene escalates her clash with Rep. Newman by displaying a sign outside of her office that reads: “There are TWO genders: Male & Female. Trust The Science!” Greene also refers to Newman’s transgender daughter as her “biological son.”

June 24, 2021
On Steve Bannon’s show, “War Room,” Greene makes several anti-trans statements, including calls for trans women to be excluded from women’s prisons and rape crisis centers:

April 8, 2022
Greene tweets a video complaining that Fox News hired Caitlyn Jenner as a contributor and includes the caption:
“Mothers are mutilating and murdering their babies through transgenderism and abortion. Meanwhile, society sits back and allows men to destroy women’s sports. How much more can America take before our civilization begins to collapse?”
In the video, she also calls LGBTQ icon Harvey Milk a “gay pedophile.”
May 28, 2022
After a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that killed 19 students and two teachers, Greene joins other House Republicans in spreading the lie that the shooter was transgender. In an MTG: Live broadcast, Greene says that the shooter “had a lot of mental issues going on, as was shown with him wearing eyeliner, cross-dressing.” She falsely suggests that the shooter was in the same Discord server as the white supremacist shooter in Buffalo that same month, and that they were both “groomed” by a former FBI agent to carry out attacks.
May 30, 2022
On MTG: Live, Greene suggests that heterosexuals will go extinct soon:
“They just want you to think that all of a sudden, the entire population is steadily turning gay or turning trans. Just generation [after] generation. Probably in about four or five generations, no one will be straight anymore. Everyone will be either gay or trans or nonconforming.”
June 1, 2022
On X, Greene calls for an end to Pride Month:
“Only one day each year, we honor military members who died serving our country for ALL of us to be free. An entire #PrideMonth and millions in spending through corporations & our government on LGBTQ sexual identity needs to end. The movements goals were achieved, were they not?”
Greene does not mention that May is National Military Appreciation Month.
June 5, 2022

June 13, 2022
In an appearance on Right Side Broadcasting Network, Greene claims the tampon shortage caused by COVID-19 is “probably because men are buying tampons. … You can look it up. Look it up on the internet, everything’s true on the internet.” Greene’s comments were false; manufacturers were upfront about the shortage being caused by supply chain issues due to the pandemic and war in Ukraine.
July 18, 2022
Greene attacks then-Assistant Secretary for Health and Human Services Dr. Rachel Levine on X by misgendering her, attacking gender-affirming care and using bigoted language. Aug. 19, 2022
Greene introduces the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act,” a bill that criminalizes providing gender-affirming care to trans kids and bans colleges from instructing students about such care.

Greene reintroduces the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act” from 2022. Once again, it does not pass into law.
March 27, 2023
After a school shooting in Nashville that killed three students and three teachers, Greene homes in on the shooter being a transgender man:
“How much hormones like testosterone and medications for mental illness was the transgender Nashville school shooter taking? Everyone can stop blaming guns now.”
Greene’s comments come despite the fact that transgender people make up an estimated 0.17% of mass shooters and are four times more likely than cisgender people to be victims of a violent crime.
April 2, 2023
In an interview with “60 Minutes,” Greene compares Democrats who support trans kids to pedophiles:
“Democrats support, even Joe Biden, the president himself, supports children being sexualized and having transgender surgeries. Sexualizing children is what pedophiles do to children.”

Outside the Supreme Court during arguments over trans health care, Greene rails against gender-affirming care for minors while being booed by protesters. She falsely equates puberty blockers to a “hormone or chemical castration pill” and says to the demonstrators:
“What you’re hearing is the outcry from the demons and those that worship evil that are abusing our children, brainwashing our children to believe the lies that come directly from Satan.”
Jan. 14, 2025

Gov. Brian Kemp later announces a special election for her seat on March 10.
Dec. 17, 2025
The House passes the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act,” marking the furthest federal advance of Greene’s push to criminalize gender-affirming care for minors. It remains the only anti-trans legislation she is able to push through the House before she resigns on Jan. 5, 2026. The Senate has yet to take up the legislation.

She’s an ignorant intolerable woman who spreads insufferable hate. Ignorance is what will kill our country. We need to focus on educating and love. If she’s such a godly woman, why doesn’t she live by the 10 commandments? She needs Jesus and to brush off her hypocrisy of all her deadly sins. No judgement though. Just a suggestion from an educated kind and loving observer. 🫶
