Uncloseted Media's Year of Rapid Growth. And How You Can Help Us Finish Strong.
Spencer Macnaughton | Uncloseted Media Weekly Newsletter
Dear Friend,
As the year winds down, one thing we’re especially grateful for is you. Thanks to your support and engagement, Uncloseted Media is proud be a Substack Bestseller and to have produced over 100 original stories, including many rigorous investigations. This year has been a tough and emotional one to report on, but it’s been an incredible honor to tell stories that have impact—especially at a time when the LGBTQ community and freedom of the press are under attack.
We know many of you are passionate about LGBTQ journalism and have asked how you can help. If you’re able, here are a few ways to support our work:
Upgrade to become a paid or founding subscriber. We place nothing behind a paywall so those who can’t afford journalism can still access it. So if you have the means, consider an upgrade:
Make a donation. All gifts are matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000 through the end of December, thanks to Cataliotti Law P.C. and another generous supporter. Double your gift now:
Share our stories and our publication with others who care about independent LGBTQ reporting
Our year-end goal is $30,000 to help fund vital reporting into 2026. Every contribution—big or small—makes a real difference and goes twice as far right now.
However you choose to support us, thank you for believing in this work and in the power of truth.
Wishing you a warm, peaceful holiday and a bright year ahead. Onward and upward!
With gratitude,
Spencer

‘Breaking Bad’s 12-Year Record Just Got Broken by Everyone’s New Obsession (Collider)
On Sunday, September 15, 2013, history was made when what is regarded as the best episode of television aired. Breaking Bad Season 5, Episode 15, “Ozymandias,” remains the top-rated episode on IMDb, with a perfect 10/10 score. Many episodes from other shows have come close to achieving this feat over the years, but none have succeeded, except for the fifth episode of the freshman season of the hit sports romance series Heated Rivalry.
Over the next week, be on the lookout for new Uncloseted reporting:
